Attending our first overlanding meet

While this experience was due for sometime now, we were able to attend our first overlanding meet this past weekend. The overlanding community has been growing for sometime now in Tennessee. The passion for camping, offroading, and automotive are a well mix to the overlanding culture while having the perfect grounds to do it in Tennessee.
This past year we have been focused on going to meets and mainly drift events. Although, we have always had interest in other communities such as overlanding, or HPDE events and many other platform of automotive events.

Overland Nashville hosted a holiday meet up this past weekend to benefit Toys for Tots. We were introduced to many guys throughout the community including the Mill Creek Automotive and the brewery! As much as we do and do not know about overlanding, it was interesting to learn about the different suspension setup and a lot of homemade gears for these cars.

Alike other automotive communities, we learned that the overlanding guys don't stick to just certain chassis. We saw varieties of chassis ranging from Jeeps, to Tacomas, an old scrambler and some land cruisers.

We hope to make it out to an actual overlanding event next year. I for sometime now have been jealous of scrolling through Instagram and watching people drive their rigs through the rocky grounds of Tennessee.

We will post more pictures soon!
Special shoutout to Walker for the invitation and shoutout to @overlandnashville and Mill Creek Overlanding & Brewery for sponsoring a great event with a great cause!
