A minute with Matthew Moscone

There are not many times you will hear me say this but Matthew Moscone has a special kind of talent, a natural aptitude; skill with a certain technique and a sort of unique touch that adds an exquisite blend to his visual Images. Quite the mouthful? Well that's the sort of feeling you get when Matt reveals an image. Matt, a photographer from Naples Florida goes by. He's  the kind of person that reveals his pictures at a high caliber of quality but in low quantities. However its what we expect in fact we rather prefer it at least from him. So when I got the chance to do a short interview of Matt I jumped at the occasion. Hell!; he's one of our own the sort of "silent but lead by example" figure in our group.
What inspired you pick up the camera?

Matt Moscone:
What inspired me to pick up a camera was oddly influenced by video games. I made gaming videos in high school and slowly transitioned into making videos and later picking up my first DSLR.

What's the most important thing to you that inspires you shoot?

Matt Moscone: The number one thing that inspires me to shoot is the drive to make automotive photography my career. My father told me before starting college that I should do what I love for a career. Taking this to heart I made it my goal to make photography my career and passion. The other thing that inspires me to shoot is other photographers. Whenever I see someone post new photos up it gives me the drive to put out more and more work.
Christian Allen: I think that's something we can all agree upon, hahaha.

Style your going for?
Matt Moscone: The style that I am going for is more commercial and refined. I see myself shooting a lot of commercial work in the future and I am just setting myself up for that type of work. I have started using strobes to light cars and that will definitely play a huge role in helping me develop a commercial style to my work.
People who inspire you?
Matt Moscone: I think my biggest inspiration comes from John Zhang (1013mm). I have been following his work since I started and he has really progressed and developed his style for a clean commercial feel. I have spoken a few times with him through email about critiquing my work and he has really helped me develop and clean up my work.

Current Car and build?
My current car is a Volkswagen Tiguan. It is totally stock minus the tint.
Future Build?  I hopefully will start a build on an old Mercedes Benz SL.
Christian Allen: Awesome, any ideas in mind on what you would do?
Matt Moscone:  I can't really say much more than possibly being a red SL with 70 thousand miles. The interior in mint condition.
Christian Allen:  So you know someone that has one?
Matt Mnscone: Exactly I've been keeping my eye on it.

What does the Aesthetes group mean to you?
Matt Moscone: Aesthetes means a fresh start for me. I haven’t been apart of new movement or page like Aesthetes, so this will definitely give me a chance to see how things grow and how this takes off and progress.
Christian Allen: We're glad to have you part of the team and are looking forward to your future work..
